Building New Momentum: Empowered by Smart Digitalisation ‒ BAU China Highlights

Fair visitors in China exploring software displays

Visitors explore Orgadata’s digital solutions at BAU China, showing strong interest in Logikal and integrated workflows.

This year’s BAU China in Shanghai once again demonstrated the remarkable pace at which China’s window, door, and façade industry is evolving. Professionals and buyers from across China and abroad gathered to explore the latest systems, equipment, and digital solutions. Their focus was clear: greener buildings, higher quality, smarter processes, and accelerated digital transformation. With official themes such as urban renewal, low-carbon construction, and modular and serial high-efficiency production, the exhibition reflected a market moving decisively toward higher standards. For Orgadata, the message from the fair was unmistakable: In China, digitalisation is no longer optional; it has become a strategic necessity.

At the Orgadata booth, Logikal, the company’s flagship software, drew strong attention for its integrated capabilities in estimation, design, and production preparation.
An experienced fabricator in China’s modular and serial production sector noted: “Logikal provides more than just data, it delivers structure and reliability. It ensures data accuracy from the design office to the factory floor, helping achieve near zero-error production. That level of precision is essential for managing both costs and timelines.” Many manufacturers echoed the increasing pressure to deliver high-quality components at scale, particularly for large residential developments and serial construction projects. In this environment, the demand for dependable, error-reducing pre-production workflows continues to rise rapidly. Visitors responded enthusiastically to Logikal’s strengths: precise estimating, structural and technical calculations, material optimisation, and comprehensive pre-production processes including parts lists, machining data, and production documentation. These capabilities help companies achieve the consistency and precision required in China’s fast-moving market, while also supporting efficient resource use, a priority as the industry pursues sustainable, high-quality development.

Unilink also attracted significant attention from machinery manufacturers and fabricators. As intelligent manufacturing accelerates and production efficiency becomes increasingly data-driven, Unilink’s role as a “central data hub” is becoming more important than ever. At the same time, the Revit Plug-In and BIM module appealed strongly to architects and façade designers seeking reliable, consistent data exchange between the design office and the workshop. In a market where hybrid system environments ‒ combining domestic and international profiles ‒ are common, flexible and dependable digital workflows are essential.

“This year we clearly saw a genuine and practical interest in digital tools. Companies are looking for solutions that guarantee quality and deliver measurable savings. Not abstract concepts, but tangible results. Logikal meets this need perfectly by seamlessly connecting planning, factory, and BIM workflows. That’s why the conversations at our booth were so active.”

As the exhibition came to a close, it was evident that digitalisation will continue to shape the future of China’s fenestration industry. Orgadata remains committed to supporting local fabricators, system partners, and design teams as they build more efficient, connected, and high-quality production environments. The discussions in Shanghai reaffirmed that Logikal is a trusted tool for companies navigating this transformation ‒ and for meeting China’s growing expectations for reliability and precision.
